Well, the latest proof of Kohli’s popularity is the message he received from German football star Thomas Muller. The Bayern Munich striker, who helped Germany win the FIFA World Cup in 2014, himself took to Twitter to wish the India skipper. Wearing the famous blue jersey of the Indian team with a bat resting on his shoulder, Muller wished luck to all the participants of the World Cup before pointing out Kohli for a message special message.
Thomas Muller pointed out how Kohli has supported the Germany’s football team and returned the favour, writing: “I wish all participants of the Cricket #WorldCup2019 good luck & thrilling matches. Kohli is indeed a fan of German football team. The India batting star had revealed his admiration for Germany before the Euro 2016 when he took to Twitter to post a picture of himself in Germany’s jersey. Later, Germany star Toni Kroos had praised Kohli and also sent a signed jersey for the cricketer.
