'Get a life' - Aakash Chopra shuts down a troll on Twitter
He was trolled unnecessarily by a cricket fan.
Rishabh Pant left everyone shocked by hitting a six only off the second ball of his Test career. The young lad came down the track, read the googly bowled by Adil Rashid, and whacked it over his head for a maximum and opened his account in the longest format. Naturally, there were some stunning reactions all over the world as even the former cricketer Aakash Chopra was also in awe of him. However, one of the fans unnecessarily tried to troll him over the same on social media to which Chopra came up with a perfect response.
Pant played some delightful strokes as the cricket experts began to decode his batting style in Test cricket. The way he handled the second new ball and denied an immediate wicket to the likes of James Anderson and Stuart Broad spoke volumes of his composure. He eventually went on to score 24 runs and was castled by the latter on the second morning. But the 20-year-old managed to impress many with his technique.
Chopra hits back
Aakash Chopra is known as one of the better analysts of the game and keeps himself busy in the same more often than not on social media. Similarly, he couldn’t stop himself from taking it to Twitter after Pant smashed the second ball for six. “WHOA…Pant opens his Test account with a SIX. #EngvInd,” he tweeted for the youngster and the reaction was expected.
But one of the fans decided to take a jibe at Chopra who was not known to hit the ball hard during his short career. Moreover, he also didn’t do much in the IPL and the fan trolled him pointing out the same. “And u got none in ur whole career (including IPL)… feeling jealous?” he replied trying to troll him unnecessarily. The former Indian cricketer played only 10 Tests and 7 IPL games and his strike-rate in the T20 format was only 74 which is not acceptable at all.
The 40-year-old was definitely not pleased with the comment and responded in a strict manner to the troll. He was quick to highlight that the Twitter user didn’t play even a game of cricket at the highest level and asked him if he was feeling jealous for the same. “You haven’t played a competitive game of cricket….even for a state side. Feeling jealous?? Get. A. Life. FYI—We both come from the same cricket club (Sonnet) in Delhi. Thank You. #RishabhPant,” his reply read.
