Last month, Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell had announced his engagement to Indian origin girlfriend Vini Raman. The all-rounder had shared the good news with his fans and followers after the completion of the Big Bash League in which he led his team Melbourne Stars to the final and starred with the bat as well.
Currently out of the Australia team due to having an arthroscopic surgery on his left elbow which he hurt playing in the Australian T20 league; Maxwell utilized the time by spending it with his loved one and preparing for his upcoming nuptials. Earlier, Maxwell had excused himself from the game in October of 2019 due to mental health issues before coming back for the BBL 2019-20 season.
Gave Glenn Maxwell a little teaser of what the wedding will be like: Vini Raman
Maxwell’s fiancée Raman is a pharmacist based in Melbourne and has been dating the Australian cricketer for some time now, as is evident from some of the couple’s adorable pictures posted on her Instagram feed. The duo was also seen together at the Cricket Australia awards. Raman took to her Instagram to share the photo of their Indian style engagement celebrations.
“Last night we celebrated our Indian engagement and I gave @gmaxi_32 a little teaser of what the wedding will be like. Shout out to both of our incredible families & all our friends who came to celebrate with us on such short notice – we are so grateful to be surrounded by some pretty amazing people,” She captioned her post.
Meanwhile, Glenn Maxwell is supposed to participate in the upcoming 13th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), where he will be playing for the Kings XI Punjab franchise. He had missed the 2019 season of the T20 League as he was trying to stake a claim in the Australia Test team. Therefore he will be looking forward to using the IPL 2020 as a platform to claim a spot in the Australian team for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2020 which will be played in Australia.
Meanwhile, the IPL 2020 has been postponed from March 29 to April 15 due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak. The Indian government suspended all visas leading to no foreign players being allowed to enter the country.
