Former Australian paceman Glenn McGrath has finally, after many years, made the Indian fans extremely happy. Of course, there have been days when he sent shivers down the spine of Indian batsmen, but, today, McGrath has said something that would certainly make the Indians fans happy. Speaking about his possible biopic, McGrath stated that if anyone should play him, it should be Akshay Kumar. The latter has been the go-to man for India when it comes to starring in sports films, with one of his movies being Patiala House.
Speaking about his biopic, McGrath said that Hugh Jackman could play him for the English version and perhaps Akshay Kumar could play him for the Hindi based film. “The other day, someone told me that a biopic should be made on me. Maybe (Hollywood star) Hugh Jackman can play me? He is an Aussie himself and loves cricket. But then, someone wanted a name from Bollywood. In that case, Akshay Kumar,” says McGrath.
“I am not sure if something like that will happen soon or in the future, but I am excited about Sachin’s biopic. He has got a great story and I am sure people not just in India, but around the world will be interested in watching a film on his life. He is such an inspirational figure,” says the speedster.
When asked about Brett Lee’s UnIndian movie, McGrath said, “I have been pretty busy recently and unfortunately, I have not been able to watch it as yet. Some of my friends have seen it and they are saying good things about it. I never knew he (Brett) had a talent for that (acting) and maybe one of these days I will watch it and give him my feedback.”
