Australia A continued their domination on England tour with yet another comfortable win this time against Gloucestershire. The visitors will play Gloucestershire for the 2nd time in three days in Bristol. George Hankins (74) and James Bracey (83) put the home side in a good position in the previous game. However, from 169/2 in the 32nd over, Gloucestershire managed to score only 246/8.

The total was never going to be defendable given the way the Aussies A side played in the first two matches. They continued the same as Matthew Wade scored a 20-ball 43 at the top. Will Pucovski (51), Peter Handscomb (57) and Mitchell Marsh (53*) scored fifties to help their team chase down with five wickets and 41 balls to spare. Handscomb scored fifty in all three matches in this series.

Match Details:

The 5th and final game of the 5-match unofficial ODI series will be played between Gloucestershire and Australia A at the County Ground in Bristol.

The match starts at 11:00 AM local time (10:00 AM GMT) (3:30 PM IST).

Pitch Condition/Report:

The County Ground in Bristol was a bit on the slower side like it was during the warm-up games of the World Cup. The venue has had a good history of producing big totals which could be repeated if Australia A bats first instead of fielding first as they have done in all matches of this series.

Average first innings score: 278 (Last 6 List A matches)

Record of chasing teams: Won – 5, Lost – 1

(Will be added when there is an update)

Power Picks:

Travis Head performances haven’t been up to the mark as he scored 69 in the second game but had scores of 29 and 1 in the remaining two. As the captain of the team, he is expected to take his team through after Wade’s attacking knocks. Travis will be looking to finish the series on high.

Captain and Vice-Captain Selection:

Matthew Wade and Peter Handscomb continue to be consistent with the bat. James Bracey showed his potential with the bat in the previous game while George Hankins is also a good option.

Other Captain/Vice-Captain Options (in order) – Benny Howell, Mitch Marsh, George Hankins, Travis Head.

Expert Advice:

Australia A has been extremely random in picking the bowling line-up. James Pattinson is yet to game while even the vice-captain Josh Hazlewood was left out for a game. Waiting for the line-ups to be out will be a better idea for selecting Australia A pacers.

Probable Winners:

Australia A are expected to finish the series with yet another easy victory.
