Good bowing will be good on any track: Mustafizur Rahman
The talented left-arm pacer shared his expectations from the pitch and the game.
As the second Test between South Africa and Bangladesh is slated to begin from Friday at the Bloemfontein, the visitors would be looking to prove a point after having lost the first Test by a huge margin of 303 runs. Bangladesh skipper Mushfiqur Rahim had vowed to come back stronger.
Mustafizur Rahman has expressed his thoughts ahead of the second game. He shared his expectations regarding the pitch and what he plans to do in order to create an impact in the last game. The Fizz as he’s popularly known remarked that pitches never excited him even if it was meant to be a pacer’s paradise. He indeed was looking forward to bowl in the right areas and make it count.
Wicket at Mangaung Oval
“I don’t get happy seeing the wicket. The ball will travel faster, it’s not like I am happy about that. My job is to bowl well. It will be helpful for my team if I play well,” he told reporters at Mangaung Oval on Wednesday.
He further mentioned his expections from the pitch, “I didn’t see the wicket properly. I just went past it. But it’s a better track than the previous one (Potchefstroom).”
Mindset ahead of the game
Mustafizur ensured that his focus is on doing his best no matter if the pitch assisted or not. “I’ll try do whatever is going to be good for the team. I don’t have much thoughts on the green pitch. Good bowing will be good on any track,” he added.
He took 3 wickets in the game at Potchefstroom but bowled much better when compared to his teammates. “We don’t bowl that much faster around 140 kmph like them. So I tried to execute my variations, change angles and use my cutters in the first Test. It did really help me,” the pacer concluded.
