Bollywood superstar actor Ranveer Singh and prominent music director AR Rahman performed at the closing ceremony of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 final being held at the Narendra Modi Stadium on May 29 (Sunday). The recognized actor Ranveer entertained the crowd with some of the most rocking songs. The actor also took a lap around the stadium accompanied by fellow dancers.

Meanwhile, music director AR Rahman performed a tribute concert for the Indian Cricket Team celebrating India’s 75 years of journey. To note, the new entrants Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals will take on each other during the final match of the tournament to be crowned champions.

Former Indian head coach Ravi Shastri hosted the event

Meanwhile, the former Indian head coach Ravi Shastri hosted the closing ceremony of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. Thousands of fans were in awe of Shastri’s iconic voice when the former India coach shouted “Kemcho, Ahmedabad?” to start the IPL 2022 closing ceremony. It was a thrilling closing ceremony as more than 1 lakh people joined AR Rahman in singing Vande Mataram.

Similarly, the world’s largest jersey was also unveiled ahead of the much-anticipated match between Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals. The jersey has logos of all 10 teams etched in it along with the text “15 years of IPL” above the logos. The jersey is 66 meters long alongside being 42 meters wide.

To note, the final match of the tournament has been pushed back by 30 minutes. As a result, the match will get underway at 8:00 PM, instead of the regular timings of 7:30 PM.

Coming to the high-voltage clash, both franchises have performed extremely well in the tournament and would want to win the last match to be crowned champions. The debutants have already beaten RR in Qualifier 1 of IPL 2022. However, the RR franchise made a resounding comeback during the playoffs stage and reached the finals after defeating Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

The new team will be led by skipper Hardik Pandya and the talented Indian batter Sanju Samson will be leading the Jaipur-based franchise. The contest is expected to be a hard-fought one as both teams have some of the best match-winners in their line-up. Meanwhile, Twitter was thrilled to see a power-packed closing ceremony.
