GT beat RR in a last-ball thriller in their only meeting in IPL 2024.
Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat Titans had a memorable first tournament as they clinched the title with the help of all-round performance, while Pandya showed great maturity in his first season as a captain. He even led them to a runners up finish in 2023 before leaving.
Rajasthan Royals, on the other hand, also enjoyed the last season as they completed in the second position. Jos Buttler won the orange cap for scoring 863 runs and Yuzvendra Chahal won the purple cap with 27 wickets, just edging past Wanindu Hasaranga’s 26. 2023 was not all that fruitful, but they managed to qualify for the playoffs in 2024.

Gujarat vs Rajasthan Last Meeting:
The teams last met in Match no. 24 of IPL 2024 at Jaipur. RR's openers struggled, but Sanju Samson and Riyan Parag put RR on the path to recovery without much further damage posting 196/3 despite Rashid Khan being at his economical best. The Titans didn't start well and their top and middle order struggled especially against Kuldeep Sen, but Shubman Gill kept one end up, but it looked bleak when he was dismissed. It then took a late push from Rahul Tewatia and Rashid Khan to take GT over the line in a last ball thriller.
