The mainstay of the English middle order, Joe Root expressed his disappointment at yesterday’s result as the Brits lost a close encounter against India but remained hopeful ahead of the decider at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. Taking to his twitter handle Root wrote, “Gutted about the result last night but just touched down in Bangalore and still have all to play for. Big few days prep ahead.”
England will surely want to bounce back strongly to end their Indian tour on a high after losing the Test series and ODI series. They were pretty much ahead of the required run-rate during the majority of the innings but a sensational spell by Jasprit Bumrah and Ashish Nehra denied the Englishmen from clinching the series.

The Men in Blue made a dramatic comeback in the 3 match T20I series against England by winning the 2nd encounter at the VCA Stadium in Nagpur by 6 runs. Fortunes fluctuated from one side to the other but in the end, it was the 23-year-old Jasprit Bumrah who held his nerve and bowled two exceptional overs in the death to hand India a nerve-wracking victory.
With 8 required of the final over, Bumrah bowled a terrific final over where he conceded only 2 runs. The lanky speedster removed Joe Root in the very first delivery of the over with a short of a length ball. Though it was a mistake on the part of the umpire to rule him out despite getting an inside edge, but this kind of things keeps happening in cricket. Despite Root’s dismissal, India couldn’t relax as the man at the other end was hard-hitter Jos Buttler.

Moeen Ali who was the new man in took a single and gave back the strike to Buttler. Bumrah bowled an exceptional off cutter in the 3rd ball of the over and followed it up with a quick delivery which zipped through the surface and disturbed the timbers. Buttler was beaten by the sheer pace of the delivery as he wasn’t expecting it following a couple of slower deliveries.
Bumrah followed it up with another slower one to Chris Jordan but Moeen Ali scampered back for the single. He bowled a low full toss outside the off stump in the last ball of the match and Ali failed to make any contact. It was a sensational victory by Team India and courtesy their victory the Bangalore T20I on Wednesday becomes the decisive one.
