'Had met him a few times and he was such a jovial guy' - Hardik Pandya mourns death of Sushant Singh Rajput

Well-known Bollywood and TV actor Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide on Sunday and he was found hanging at his Bandra residence, according to reports. The news of his death spread like wildfire on social media and Twitter was flooded with condolence messages and tributes.
Sushant shared a special association with cricket due to his portrayal of MS Dhoni in the veteran’s biopic. His stellar performance in the movie had also earned Sushant a Filmfare Best Actor nomination. The cricket fraternity was also left stunned by the sudden demise of the actor.
A plethora of Indian cricketers paid tribute to Sushant and expressed their grief over his demise. Kiran More also reminisced the time when he had trained Sushant for his role in MS Dhoni‘s biopic. Suresh Raina even recalled meeting the actor during the filming process of the biopic.
India all-rounder Hardik Pandya also expressed his grief over the news and termed it ‘heartbreaking’. Hardik remembered meeting Sushant a few times and said that he was a jovial guy.

“Extremely heartbreaking news. Rest in Peace #SushantSinghRajput. Met him a few times and he was such a jovial guy. Strength to all his loved ones. My heart cries for him,” tweeted Pandya.
Along with Pandya, many former and current Indian cricketers expressed sorrow over the news. From Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag to Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma– many India internationals paid tribute to the actor.
Former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh also addressed the mental health and said that people don’t know what’s going inside one’s head. The news of Sushant’s death came after his former manager Disha Salian committed suicide last Monday by jumping off the 14th floor from her apartment. According to reports, Sushant was also suffering from depression and the actor was going through its treatment.
