Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh has come forward to sponsor clothing of the Indian disabled cricket team, who will tour Afghanistan next month for a tri-series. Apart from India and Afghanistan, Pakistan is the 3rd team to take part in the series. The tournament will start from 20th of July and will end on July 30.

Ravi Chauhan, secretary of the Physically Challenged Cricket Association of India (PCCAI) approached Harbhajan, after getting an invitation to participate in the tournament by the Afghanistan Cricket Board.

Chauhan said that he asked Harbhajan, whether he could sponsor kits and he was quick to respond positively. He also conveyed his thanks to the Indian off-spinner. He also mentioned that it could have cost them around three lakh Indian rupees.

“We regularly update Harbhajan about the matches our boys play. I asked him if he could sponsor kits and he immediately agreed. Everyone will get a pair each of the practice kit, traveling clothes and match colors. We are grateful to Harbhajan for his help. It would have cost us around Rs. 3 lakh had we made kits for the tour,” Chauhan was quoted by mid-day saying.
