Harbhajan Singh and Geeta Basra are expecting their first child

Harbhajan Singh and Geeta Basra, who tied the knot in October last year, are reportedly expecting their first child.  Ever since Basra was spotted at the IPL ceremony in a loose white dress and sneakers, rumours about her being pregnant have been doing the rounds. Turns out, Basra and her cricketer husband are all set to welcome their first child this year.

The actress, who married the cricketer in November 2015 after a long period of courtship, is going to London to spend time with her family as she prepares to welcome her first born. A report in the Times of India has quoted a friend of the couple as confirming the news.

Singh and Basra started dating eight years back and mostly kept mum about their relationship. It was only in 2015, that the couple started making appearances together at events. They had a lavish wedding later in the year. The couple’s reception party saw the who’s who from both the cricket fraternity and Bollywood in attendance.

Basra joins the list of a few other celeb couples who too are supposedly starting their families. While Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput are apparently expecting their first child, Riteish and Genelia Deshmukh are expecting their second. Another Indian cricketer Suresh Raina and his wife Priyanka are also expecting their first child very soon. The good news was recently revealed by the cricketer himself.

While Bhajji has been an integral part of the Mumbai Indians side in the IPL, Raina has moved to the new team Gujarat Lions and will captain them in this year’s competition. The southpaw was a key member of the Chennai Supers Kings team however it has been suspended from the IPL for 2 years for alleged involvement in betting.
