Due to lockdown in the majority of countries, there is nothing much for the sportspersons to do. In some ways, its a blessing in disguise for them as they travel all around the year and now they are getting to spend some much-needed time with their families.
Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan has also been enjoying his time with his family. Since the beginning of the lockdown, the 34-year-old has been sharing pictures and videos with his fans on social media. Recently, he uploaded another picture, which got him a new nickname from Harbhajan Singh.
The southpaw uploaded a picture of him sporting a new quaratine look on Instagram. In the picture, he can be seen twisting his moustache and appears to be sitting a couch, presumably of his living room.
After seeing Dhawan’s picture, Harbhajan Singh posted a comment on it giving a hilarious nickname to him. In the comment box, the off-spinner called the opener “Babbu” in one comment. Shikhar Dhawan is more often known as ‘Gabbar’ among his teammates.
Here’s Harbhajan’s comment:
Shikhar Dhawan has been spending quarantine with his wife and son
Recently, Shikhar Dhawan had uploaded a very thoughtful video on his official Twitter handle. In the video, the left-handed batsman was seen with his wife, Ayesha and son, Zoravar. The family was seen helping each other in exercising and keeping themselves fit. Through the caption of the video, the cricketer tried to deliver a very nice message.
In the caption, he talked about the cases of domestic violence which have emerged in the news. Due to the lockdown, the cases of such violent activities have heard more than ever. He urged people to put an end to such activities. He also said that everyone should be kind and loving towards their families.
“While I enjoy my time at home with my loving family, I am truly disheartened and sad to hear about domestic violence still existing in today’s time & we need to put an end to it. Choose a kind and loving partnership and say no to violence,” Shikhar Dhawan captioned the video on Twitter. This is not the first time when Dhawan has appealed to people not to commit domestic violence.
