The moment MS Dhoni took off for his 33rd run during his knock at Lord’s in the second One-Day International, he entered the record books. He had completed 10,000 runs in ODIs and was only the fourth Indian to achieve the milestone. While his landmark didn’t come in the winning cause for the Men in Blue, the wishes flooded in for him from all over the world. Harbhajan Singh has also congratulated the veteran for his achievement and has put light on his ability to score runs while batting down the order.
MS Dhoni now has 10,004 runs to his name in the coloured clothing in 273 innings (320 matches) at an incredible average of 51.3. He has been one of the greatest finishers over the years for his team and is at the fag end of his career at the age of 37. Dhoni is the fifth quickest to reach the five-figure mark in terms of innings played and second quickest in terms of balls faced after Sanath Jayasuriya which proves that he is no less than a legend.

Harbhajan Singh, like other cricketers, was in awe of MS Dhoni, the master of finishing the games, and congratulated him on reaching the milestone. The off-spinner hailed his ability to score runs in difficult situations while batting at 5 or 6 most of the times in his career and hoped that he continues to shine.

Bhajji was part of the title-winning Chennai Super Kings (CSK) squad this year in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and played under the captaincy of the captain cool to relive the moments when both played together for the national squad.
