He ranks #9 on the list of 11 sportspersons across the world who make the most money from the social media platform. Harbhajan Singh trolls Virat Kohli for bringing in the moolah
In the recently announced Instagram awards 2019, Virat Kohli’s account on the platform (@virat.kohli) emerged as the most “Engaged Account of the Year”. On the field, Virat Kohli continues to astonish his fans with his amazing batting and this has led to him gaining more and more followers not only in India or Asia but all over the world. What makes him more special is the fact that he is extremely passionate about the game and is always willing to learn and grow.
Though on the field and even sometimes on interviews, Kohli comes off as an ultra-aggressive person, but there is a lot of humility and gratefulness for what he has earned underneath that garb of his. However, this post became a chance for his former teammates to pull his leg. Sometime back, Virat Kohli’s Twitter and Instagram account showed frequent paid posts of him endorsing various services and products including his own apparel line ‘Wrogn’. This led to his fans making fun of him for his over necessary endorsements on social media and now Harbhajan Singh trolled the Indian captain.
On his Instagram post, Harbhajan Singh left a witty and funny comment, saying “Everyday, there is an opportunity for you to make more and more $£.”
According to Forbes, the world’s highest-paid cricketer’s brand value is at $14.5 million (approximately Rs 105 crore), meaning Kohli gets paid more than football icon Lionel Messi, golf superstar Rory McIlroy and Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry.
