Indian cricket and Bollywood have shared a long-standing partnership now, especially since the inception of the star-studded Indian Premier League (IPL). Several Indian cricketers admire the actors and actresses who star in some of the biggest blockbusters in Indian cinema. Likewise, the film fraternity have picked their favourite cricketers and always look forward to seeing them donning the Indian jersey and representing their nation.

Several cricketers are in fact married to Bollywood actresses – India’s skipper Virat Kohli tied the knot with Anushka Sharma almost a year ago, while all-rounder Yuvraj Singh is married to the actress Hazel Keech who recently played a role in the Salman Khan-starrer Bodyguard.

India’s veteran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh also has his own connection to Bollywood, being married to actress Geeta Basra. However, his favourite actress is Kajol, and he was able to click an adorable selfie with the leading lady, which he posted on social media much to the delight of fans.

On Tuesday, Harbhajan Singh shared his own fan moment when he shared a selfie with his favourite actress, tweeting, “Jab I met Simran @KajolAtUN my favourite.. wish you all the best for your upcoming movie #HelicopterEela”.

Harbhajan’s controversial statement

The spinner recently criticized the touring Windies side which is playing India in a two-match Test series. Bhajji mocked the Windies players for their dismal performance in Rajkot against the no.1 Test side in the world. India were able to register their biggest Test victory, defeating the visitors by an innings and 242 runs.

Nevertheless, the former Windies pacer Tino Best wasn’t at all pleased with Harbhajan’s comments and immediately hit back at the off-spinner reminding him about India’s series loss in England. Team India had earlier lost the 5-match Test series against England 1-4, but many have claimed that the scoreline didn’t reflect the reality of the performance put in by India.
