Indian batsman Shikhar Dhawan is currently on a break as India are playing the two-match Test series against Windies. He had a horrendous outing in England during the five Tests where he couldn’t manage even a single half-century and was subsequently bashed for his lacklustre shows. To add insult to injury, the left-hander was dropped for the ongoing series against Jason Holder’s men.

His participation in red-ball cricket in Australia has also come under the clouds. To make things worse, it has also been learned that his exclusion from the Test team has led to a rift between Ayesha Dhawan, Shikhar’s better half, and Anushka Sharma, Indian captain Virat Kohli’s wife. However, the left-hander still remains as an integral member of the national team in the limited-overs formats.

Dhawan chilling out

The southpaw was in stupendous form in the recently concluded Asia Cup in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) where he notched a couple of centuries against qualifiers Hong Kong and Pakistan in Dubai. He was also the leading run-scorer of the event. The Delhi-born cricketer is now set to play the upcoming ODI series against the Windies, starting October 21 at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati.

In the meantime, the experienced campaigner is having a gala time during this break. Recently, Dhawan uploaded a picture where he was seen sitting on a chair with a table in front of him. He was also wrapped in a black shawl. He also put in a Punjabi poem along with the photograph.

He uploaded the picture and wrote, “shikhardofficial Sheeran wale rob yaaran saanu hi faban ge 👊🏼 #tuesdaymorning#potd,”

Meanwhile, off-break bowler Harbhajan Singh spotted the post and didn’t leave any stone unturned in trolling the batsman. He replied and sarcastically referred to him as a daaku (dacoit).
