Hardik and Krunal Pandya's warm Twitter conversation

Virat Kohli won the toss and after that nothing went right for him and India. It started well when India bowled some tight overs at the start. It all went well for Team India till Jasprit Bumrah was called for a no-ball and Fakhar Zaman was saved, Pakistan didn’t look back from then on.

They piled on a huge score of 338 which looked really difficult but still chasable, considering India’s batting line-up and chase being their stronger suit. Indian crowd had a lot of expectation from their team but everyone disappointed except Hardik Pandya.

Hardik only shining light

India lost 2 wickets in first three overs, with Mohammad Amir getting rid of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. Losing 2 key players early in the innings hurt their chances but India still had a lot of firepower left in their line-up. Pakistan had different plans though, Amir got rid of the highest scorer of the tournament, Shikhar Dhawan. India pinned their hopes on Yuvraj-Dhoni partnership, which has bailed India out from such tough situations many times in the past.

They both got out in quick succession and India’s hopes sunk with Dhoni’s wicket. Kedar Jadhav’s dismissal seemed to be the final nail in the coffin. But Hardik had different plans though, he wasn’t ready to give up and started to chance his arms. He hit 6 sixes on his way to a quickfire 76 which gave India tiny hopes. But it was not India’s day and a mix-up between Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja cost the former his wicket and a glimmer of hope was fragmented.

Krunal’s tweet

Pandya innings was in a losing cause but his knock is getting praise from all quarters, his brother Krunal Pandya also praised his innings on Twitter. Krunal tweeted “I have seen him hit those monster sixes for my entire life but today was something special. Proud of you”

Krunal Pandya has also impressed in IPL and we hope to see him and Hardik playing together in India’s colours. India lost the match yesterday, but Hardik won the hearts of Indian fans.
