The popular Television presenter Gaurav Kapur has slammed India Today for claiming his show as ‘exclusive’ on their news channel. The media has overdriven the much-hyped coverage of the wedding of Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma. After speculating everything related their marriage ceremony they went to air the footage of the Indian skipper having a chat with Gaurav as ‘exclusive’. However, the Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya enjoyed the way he took the class of the news channel in his recent social media update.
Gaurav Kapur is the host of a popular show ‘Breakfast with Champions’ in which Indian cricketers appear for a chat with him and reveal some of the interesting insights of their career. They also candidly speak about their personal life. Similarly, Virat Kohli had appeared on the show and also had spoken about the love of his life Anushka. The news channel India Today however, aired the footage of him talking with Gaurav and most importantly claimed it to be exclusive which was surprising.
Gaurav slams on Twitter
Gaurav Kapur didn’t like the way the media used the footage and claimed it exclusive even without his permission. He expressed his disappointment clearly on micro-blogging website and demanded a cheque to India Today cheekily asking to correct the spelling of his surname. He wrote, “Hi @IndiaToday, can you pls help me with this? I don’t recall doing an EXCLUSIVE for you. And yes, if you’re sending a cheque, make sure you spell KAPUR correct.
While he also cleared that he doesn’t watch the news channels so often and the snapshot was sent to him by his friend on Instagram. Many of his fans loved his tweet and even the current star of Indian cricket Hardik Pandya who has also appeared previously on his show enjoyed the tweet and responded it in a humorous way.
