With the limited-overs leg set to kick off later, certain key players have been rested. And amongst them, dynamic all-rounder Hardik Pandya has been put to sidelines after the right-hander voluntarily wanted some time off. Pandya set to return for the limited-overs leg
He first came into the fray when Mumbai Indians spotted the talent in 2015 and introduced him to Indian Premier League. Since then the Baroda lad has taken great strides in his career and established himself as one of the integral cogs in the Indian team. He has proved his worth to be part of limited-overs team and has managed to shine in Test team too.
The 24-year-old, who has time and again proved his prowess both in batting and bowling, will want to get some crucial match practice against Sri Lanka before setting off on the tour of South Africa.
