Hardik Pandya, the Indian all-rounder, hasn’t had the best of times in his international career. He is currently in England where he is representing the national team in their five-match Test series against England. Earlier, he was touted to perform efficiently in all three formats. The 24-year-old hasn’t been able to perform with either of the willow or with the leather.
In the first Test at Edgbaston in Birmingham, he went wicketless and could manage 53 runs, combining two innings. He was the last wicket to fall in the Test match as Ben Stokes accounted for his wicket. After Virat Kohli’s dismissal, he was expected to take the team home, but he flattered to deceive. Even in the second encounter, he was unable to stand up to the task.
Social media slams Hardik
However, he did reasonably well with the leather in the second match at Lord’s in London. He picked up the wickets of Ollie Pope, Jonny Bairstow, and Sam Curran and finished with reasonable figures of 17.1-0-66-3. Nevertheless, yet another time, he floundered with the bat and could only manage 11 and 26 runs. The third Test will be played at Trent Bridge in Nottingham from August 18.
The Indian team is 0-2 down in the five-match series and is well and truly staring down the barrel of another series defeat. Virat Kohli’s men were set to travel to the city earlier and the same was later postponed to yesterday. Meanwhile, prior to their departure, Pandya posted a picture on Instagram where he was seen in a black hat, black t-shirt along with a pair of sunglasses.
He captained the post and “#TravelDay LONDON 🚊 NOTTINGHAM”

The supporters didn’t like the picture and they slammed him left, right and centre for his complacent approach towards the game.
