Cricket and Bollywood together have had a love affair of their own, since time immemorial. Be it Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi-Sharmila Tagore or the current Indian skipper Virat Kohli and his lady love, Anushka Sharma, blossoming romances between Bollywood’s leading ladies and cricketers is nothing new. In a recent turn of events, actor Parineeti Chopra was involved in a playful banter with cricketer, Hardik Pandya where the latter let it slip that there might be another Cricket-Bollywood connection at play.
Pandya, who has been symbolic of the new generation and it’s fiery temperament, has been scaling new heights on and off the field. Be it his power hitting at the crease or his new edgy hairstyle, the youngster is constantly making headlines. Chopra, herself, is regarded as one of the best of the fresh crop of talented actors in the Hindi film industry, equipped with brilliant acting skills.
Hardik tries to guess Parineeti’s mystery companion
Chopra had recently tweeted a poignant picture of a bicycle propped up against a fence and captioned it mysteriously as “The perfect trip with the most amazing partner. Love is in the air!!!” Replying to this, Pandya cheekily took a guess at what the tweet might have meant and hinted at there being a second “Bollywood and Cricket Link”, the first one being the much talked about romance between Kohli and Anushka.
Chopra was not one to back as she replied even more enigmatically, saying “Maybe. Maybe not.” and further added that a clue was in the picture itself.
Here’s the quippy between Hardik Pandya and Parineeti Chopra:

This isn’t Pandya’s first brush with a Bollywood star. His heroics in the Champions Trophy,2017 finals against Pakistan, where he’d almost single-handedly tried to save the match with some brilliant and aggressive batting, had evoked praise from several actors, including the likes of Sushmita Sen, Taapsee Pannu and Huma Qureshi.
