Himanshu Pandya, father of young Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya, is a very proud man at the moment. The way Hardik is seeing an escalated rise in stature in world cricket is pleasing for the fans and the Indian cricket. His heroics recently sealed the series for India against Australia. With such great form coming his way, the attention was bound to get centered around him.
He has managed to get a lot of fan following, particularly among the fairer sex. He recently had a conversation with Shibani Dandekar on the social media. Also, his conversations with actress Parineeti Chopra were quite popular. Amidst this situation, his father believes that these things happen with all cricketers. Female attention is bound to come with the playing style that he is having.
“I’m not aware of why my son is getting female attention. Maybe it’s due to his playing style and role in Indian cricket. But we don’t have any issue, let him enjoy his life. This happens with all cricketers. When they come in the limelight, they get attention from all quarters,” quoted Himanshu Pandya.
On the six hitting spree
He further added that these things will not affect the on field performances of Hardik Pandya. Himanshu, as per the quotes in Republic World, cited how his son hit three consecutive sixes in an over for the fourth time in international cricket recently. He further added that the day is not far when Hardik will hit six sixes in an over.
“He is mentally strong and his game will not be affected due to the sudden female attention he is getting. He hit three consecutive sixes recently. This was the fourth occasion. We are waiting for the day when he hits six sixes in an over. That day will not be far off,” he conceded.
