Hardik Pandya’s father wants the ascending consecutive number plate for his car
The all-rounder is currently in Sri Lanka preparing for the ODI series.
Recently, Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya gifted his father a Jeep Compass Suv crediting him for all the success he has achieved so far. However, his father now has expressed his wish to have the ascending consecutive number plate for the car.
SUV was not the first car to arrive in Pandya family’s residence. They previously had 5 cars and this was the sixth one. Himanshu Pandya, the father of the Indian all-rounder, was elated and revealed that they no longer possess the two old cars, he got the Jeep in red which is his favourite colour.
“This is the sixth car arrival in our family. Two old cars are not with us. We already had three cars here and this is the fourth one. We had gone to Ahmedabad on a festival holidays, where I received a call from the salesman of a reputed company to visit the showroom and select the car at the discounted rate. I did not resist temptation and fell in love with this Jeep Compass Suv. Red is my favourite colour and we were just discussing and seeing the features of the vehicle,” he told KashmirTimes.
My joy knew no bounds
He also shared his feelings when he received the surprise gift from his younger son. “The salesman approached me again with a set of keys and said, this car is yours. Before I understand anything, a video call from my son Hardik came from Sri Lanka, and he said, dearest papa, I have bought this car for you,” Himanshu stated.
“This was in appreciation of his fast scoring first international hundred and also the Man of the Match (MoM) award in the third Test at Kandy, which we won handsomely. My joy knew no bounds. My other son, Krunal (also a cricketer and playing in the IPL matches for Mumbai Indians) was in Mumbai. Hardik’s mother (Nalini ben) and sister (Anamika) with few more relatives were there with us and I drove down this car (from Ahmedabad) to our home here in Vadodara,” the father added.
He also expressed that he would like to have a number plate with ascending consecutive number plate which is a unique one. “I have a driving license and have been driving the car since last 35 years. The number plate is yet to arrive. There is no specific choice for the number plate, but I wish it comes in an ascending two-digit consecutive numbers like-2425, 2526 or 5152 etc,” he signed off saying.
Hardik is currently in Sri Lanka preparing for the ODI series against the hosts and his gift for his father has certainly been praised across the country.
