When the chips were down and all the senior batsmen had succumbed to the pressure, Hardik Pandya walked into bat and the just the way he’s been doing a spectacular job finishing games for Mumbai Indians and India, he was terrific in the CT final. He alongside Bhuvneshwar Kumar were the only players who showed some intent from the Indian contingent, which wasn’t enough to breakdown Pakistan.

Hardik Pandya’s 43 balls 76, which included 6 sixes and 4 fours, came to an end in the most disastrous way one can ask for. Ravindra Jadeja and Pandya had a miscommunication, which saw both the players end up at the strikers end and it was easy pickings for the Pakistanis to run him out.

The disappointment on his face was a testimonial to a fact that he was there to do something really special for his country, but that didn’t happen and Pakistan won the final by 180 runs. Yet, social media was in awe for the all-rounder from Baroda who won everyone’s hearts.

Whilst Tapsee was amazed by the “Grit and determination” he had shown, Archana Vijaya and Sophie Chaudary thanked him for giving something to cheer about the game. The best of the lot were the three tweets from the evergreen diva of Bollywood, which will definitely blow Pandya’s mind.
