Harmanpreet Kaur, the Indian women’s cricketer hasn’t had the greatest of times in his career. She is the T20I skipper and her team lost the T20I triangular series involving Australia and England back in March. Recently, she was also stripped of the post of the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Punjab Police after it was identified that he had submitted fake graduation certificates.

She was anointed with the post back in March. Recently, she was demoted to constable and was asked to improve her qualification and submit a valid degree. Earlier, she worked for the Western Railways who weren’t ready to release Kaur owing to bond related obligations. Nevertheless, Captain Amrinder Sing’s intervention ensured that she got the DSP’s position.

I have cleared all my exams

The swashbuckling batswoman lately lashed out after his demotion and reiterated that her degrees aren’t fake. Moreover, she also put forth the reasons why she couldn’t complete her exams. “When you did your graduation, did you go to the head office to verify your enrollment number? Nobody does that. If I am playing, my focus is obviously on cricket. Apart from that, I just wanted to complete my graduation.

On the basis of my graduation certificate, I took admission for a post-graduation course in a different university, but could never take my exams because of overseas tournaments. Today, that very degree is being called fake,” Harmanpreet was quoted as saying by ESPNCricinfo.

“I have cleared all my exams and my every certificate is legal. My examination centre used to be in Delhi. My subjects were sociology, political science, English and general awareness,” she added.

Harmanpreet was a part of India’s squad which qualified for the Final of the Women’s World Cup in England last year. Her knock of 171 against Meg Lanning’s Australia in the semi-final will remain as one of the greatest knocks in the history of their cricket.
