Young Harpreet Singh had a lot of aspirations of playing in the Indian Premier League prior to the start of the auction. However, these aspirations came crashing down when another youngster Harmeet Singh took the crazy decision to drive his car onto a train platform. While Harmeet was perhaps one to do this crazy thing in Andheri, it was Harpreet who bore the brunt for his misdeeds.

Both Harpreet and Harmeet have been quite impressive in recent times given the fact that they are also fresh from junior cricket. While Harmeet has been out of favor with any major team in recent times, it is Harpreet Singh who has been quite impressive for his Ranji Trophy side Madhya Pradesh. Harmeet, the assailant for driving the car to the platform was a part of the Indian U19 side that secured the win in the World Cup under Unmukt Chand.

The latter is currently failing all expectations after having been dropped from the side. In fact, Harpreet Singh was hoping to get the call up to arms in the Indian Premier League, this particular misadventure and the turn of events has seen no franchise pick him up in recent times.

This is a screen grab of the tweet from ANI:

The young Madhya Pradesh cricketer lost out on an IPL contract as the 8 teams went on a buying spree in the IPL 10 players’ auction in Bengaluru on Monday. Asian News Network (ANI) while reporting the matter on Twitter named the MP cricketer which they later rectified issuing a clarification, but it did not help Harpreet, who was enjoying a fine run of form in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, as he missed out on the IPL contract.
