The latest sensation of Pakistan Cricket, Hasan Ali, is all set to join Comilla Victorians in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). Hasan Ali and Fakhar Zaman were the Pakistan’s find during the recently concluded ICC Champions Trophy. Ali picked up the golden ball award after he clinched a whopping 13 wickets in just five games during the tournament.

A substantial amount of Pakistani contingent will feature in the tournament which is Bangladesh’s answer to IPL. Shoaib Malik, Mohammad Nawaz, Sarfraz Ahmed, Mohammad Sami, Umar Akmal, Shahid Afridi, Nasir Jamshed, Junaid Khan, and many others have featured in the BPL. ShFahim Ashraf, Imran Khan Jr and Shoaib Malik are already present in the Victorians side. Malik was previously associated with Chittagong Vikings.

Ali is renowned for unique celebration style after getting a wicket which is popularly known as the generator style. The style went viral in the Pakistan Super League last season while playing for Peshawar Zalmi and it is now Internationally recognised due to his performance in the recently concluded Champions Trophy. In 32 T20 matches in his career, he has picked up 39 wickets in his career.

“It will be my first appearance in a foreign T20 league and I am very happy about this,” commented Hasan Ali according to Dawn.com, confirming his stint with Comilla. The pacer from Pakistan has taken as many as 42 wickets in 21 matches with best figures of 5/28. He has already picked up a couple of 5-wicket haul in his ODI career. He has an excellent strike rate of 24 in ODIs at an average of 22 and economy of 5.4.
