Young Pakistani fast bowler, Hasan Ali, has already made a big name for himself at the international level. The premier Pakistani pacer is currently plying his trade for the Comilla Victorians in the ongoing edition of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). Hasan has been on a record breaking spree ever since he has burst out on the big stage. He raced to 50 ODI wickets recently and was the quickest from his nation to do so.
Now, he is setting up the records straight in the BPL. Playing against the Dhaka Dynamites, Hasan Ali became the first bowler in the 2017 edition of the tournament to scalp a five wicket haul. His fiery spell oozed sheer aggression as he rattled the stumps at will in the innings. He finished with figures of 5/20 in the 3.3 overs that he bowled in the match. The cavalcade started in his very first over of the match.
On the very first delivery that he bowled, he cleaned up the dangerous Windies batsman Evin Lewis. A delivery later, he accounted for the wicket of Mehdi Maruf. Hasan Ali certainly announced himself in the game in some style with two wickets in the first three balls that he bowled in the game.
Later on in the game, he was brought back in to the attack by his skipper Tamim Iqbal. Ali responded well yet again and rattled the stumps of Mosaddek Hossain. In his final over of the game, he repeated his heroics of the first over that he had bowled in the match – took two wickets in three deliveries.
He dismissed Saddam Hossain on the first ball of the penultimate over and then rattled the wood work of Abu Hider Rony with a toe crushing yorker on the third delivery of the match. His efforts helped the Victorians restrict the Dynamites on 128 in the match. The Victorians went on to win the match by 4 wickets.
