It’s been around two months since the Hasin Jahan – Mohammed Shami controversy erupted. After exposing him to social media, Shami’s wife levelled various allegations on him in front of the national tv. She even accused him of match-fixing allegations.
It seems like the line of accusations have failed to end as Hasin Jahan has again made an afflicting statement against Shami. She has now compared her matter as similar to that of the recent rape case in Kathua. She had earlier accused Shami of domestic violence.
Even I have been subjected to what happened in that case
Hasin Jahan was present in the protest march against the Kathua rape case. She highlighted her story as well and drew a comparison between her situation. She further alleged that there was a conspiracy plotted to rape and kill her.
“Those who are guilty of the crime should be punished. Even my case is similar to this. But I am alive. Even I have been subjected to what happened in that case. They had planned to rape me, kill me and then dump my body in a forest. It’s been almost two months that I am fighting against all this,” She was quoted as saying by Times Now.
Shami has been cooperative in this case
As the legal proceedings are already in flow against Mohammed Shami, he was questioned by the Kolkata Police recently. He has been charged with domestic violence case filed by his wife. The Joint Commissioner of Crime Police Praveen Tripathi conveyed that Shami had been grilled for around 3 hours regarding the allegations.
“We can call him anytime but at this point in time, we don’t find it’s necessary. He has been cooperative in this case,” Tripathi added.
Earlier, Hasin Jahan had accused the pacer of match-fixing. She alleged him of taking money from a Pakistani girl Alishba through some Mohammed Bhai in the UK. Following this, the BCCI had kept his contract on hold till an investigation. The Anti Corruption Unit found nothing as he was reinstated back in the Grade B Contract.
