Hassan Ali reveals the secret of his unique celebration
The right-arm quickie has had a sublime run in the Champions Trophy and with his headline-grabbing celebration, he has added another feather to his cap.
Celebration by players after achieving a feat is a treat for the spectators and the cameramen alike. Every player has his own unique style of celebration. They might have thought out beforehand on how to present their celebration before the fans. From doing a Gangnam style dance to sprinting down the ground in full throttle to displaying an aggressive suggestion, players have invented their own USP when it comes to celebration.
The most recent celebration to have captured the attention of cricket fanatics comes from Pakistan’s Hassan Ali. Hasan has had a sublime run in this Champions Trophy earning praise for his wicket taking ability on batsman-friendly pitches. He has garnered 10 scalps at an impressive average of 17.2 which is the best so far in the tournament. Interestingly, his unique celebration has overshadowed his bowling prowess.
Meaning of his celebration
His celebration resembles a mix of Brett Lee’s clenched fist punching the air and Shahid Afridi’s stretched arms with the index finger pointed in the air. But Hasan dishes out a different explanation to it. He says that his act resembles that of a bomb bursting and the blast spreading out in all directions.
Hasan revealed that he has made up his mind to repeat his feat with a five-er. Sounding a warning to the Indian batsman, the fast bowler said that he wants to blow up the batting order of his arch-rivals, ensure a win for his team and make a name for himself.
The final match of the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 between India and Pakistan is scheduled to be played at The Oval tomorrow on June 18th. Time will tell whether Hasan can repeat his heroics with the ball and display his “bomb bursting” and ensure his team gets their hands on the silver or it goes otherwise.
