The Indian team is all scheduled to play England in an ODI and T20I series starting January 15 but after the conclusion of the limited-overs leg of England’s tour to India and before the men from Down Under arrive for a Test series the neighbours Bangladesh will be touring India for a one-off Test for the very first time. The Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) was to host the match February 8 to 12 at the Uppal ground but reports suggest the BCCI that they will not be in a position to do that.
The HCA like the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is facing a cash crunch with the Lodha committee and the Supreme Court overlooking the administrative and financial decisions of the association and due to lack of funds, they won’t be in able to host the Test.
To increase rescheduling troubles for the BCCI the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) has also put their hands in the air over hosting two U19 Test matches between India and England at Chennai that were to be played from February 13-16 and 21-24 as a part of England’s junior tour of India where they will play 5 one-day games in Mumbai.
The letter from TNCA as quoted in the media to the BCCI read: “At the outset we thank you for allotting the India – England Under 19 matches at Chennai between 13th and 16th February and 21st to 24th February 2017.

“However, we regret to inform you that we are unable to host the matches at Chennai due to various domestic programs scheduled during the period.”
To keep a check on their concerns and that the series is well set a team of Cricket Australia officials will visit the venues for the Test matches – Pune, Ranchi, Bangalore and Dharamsala.
