A relatively younger team of India is currently in Sri Lanka for playing their parts in the white-ball series against the home team. Though India won the series, they failed to whitewash the home side during the 3rd ODI. The management decided to give debut caps to as many as five Indian players which meant that some obvious names had to sit out in the final game.

In the same sequence of events, young cricketer Ishan Kishan’s antics stole the show, and the video showing his gestures started doing rounds on the internet. As Kishan sat near the boundary rope, when the camera panned towards him, he made several kinds of funny faces while winking many times. The funny gesture by Kishan was appreciated by many on the internet.

Talking about Kishan in the ODI series, the young wicketkeeping-batsman got his debut cap in the first game only and went to own the night by smashing a classy half-century. The second game turned out to be not so good for him and he had to sit out in the final ODI. However, he impressed big time on his ODI debut and might make his case serious for the upcoming T20 World Cup.

Here is how Twitter reacted to Ishan Kishan’s antics

Talking about India’s ODI series, the third game slipped out of the visitor’s hand as the game got reduced to 47 overs due to rain and the young side got wrapped in just 43.1 overs. The five players who got their debut cap were, Nitish Rana, Krishnappa Gowtham, Chetan Sakariya, Rahul Chahar, and Sanju Samson.

Samson impressed with his batting while scoring 40 runs on his debut. On the other hand, Sakariya and Rahul Chahar picked two and three wickets respectively in the game. Suryakumar Yadav was declared as the player of the series for his outstanding batting show. The Indian side is next to play three-match ODI series with the home team which begins on July 25. The current lot is being led by ace batsman Shikhar Dhawan and in playing under the guidance of former legendary batsman Rahul Dravid.
