'He knows what it’s like to play second fiddle' - Rugby player Ben Young trolls Ellyse Perry's husband Matt To'omua

We have seen various banters between different countries in the field of sports. Every sport persists of some biggest all-time rivalries, but what if a cheeky pun takes place in the media among two friends. Yes, recently it took place among the Rugby players that ended on the name of Australian female cricketer Ellyse Perry.

Earlier, hubby of Ellyse Perry, Matt To’omua joked about his former teammates Ben Young, Tuilagi, George Ford, and Jonny May in a press conference. He humorously trolled them who are currently representing England at the World Cup. But, it triggered Ben Young and in his latest press meet, he went on to troll the Australian player on the name of his wife.

Ellyse Perry’s name was brought down in Rugby players friendly banter

Actually, it all started when Australian Rugby player To’omua (Ellyse Perry’s husband) in a press meet explained that his former English mates never bought him a beer, and were terrible on playing snooker, “Manu (Tuilagi) is a terrible snooker player, George Ford never pays for a beer, Ben Youngs isn’t even the best rugby player in his family, let alone the country. The chicken, Jonny May, very weird and Dan Cole doesn’t have a personality.” Matt To’omua said as quoted by news.com.au.

Now, when English player Young was asked about his opinion over the joke cracked by his former teammate, he felt that he was pretty correct as Fordy has never bought him a beer and also revealed that Matt was very happy with and sent the video clip of the conference.

“He was very happy with himself because he sent me the video clip. He’s not far wrong with some of it, Fordy has never bought him a beer because he’s usually smoke-bombed by that point or he’s too drunk and left the building.” Ben Young said.

He then added that it is very ironic that he is not the best athlete in his family as he is married to star cricketer Ellyse Perry who has featured in dual internationals for Australia in football and cricket, “I thought it was quite ironic, he knows what it’s like to play second fiddle, especially being married to Ellyse Perry (a dual Australian football and cricket international), so I feel for him, he knows my pain,” he added.

Ellyse Perry is currently a part of the Australian women’s cricket team that recently defeated Sri Lanka in T20I and ODI series.
