In the second T20I at the Old Trafford Manchester, hosts England stunned Pakistan by chasing 196, and won the match by 5 wickets. The Three Lions was looking forward to commence the T20Is on a winning note, but rain played a complete spoilsport in the first game. In the second, the Men in Green put up a laudable 195 on board, but the home side sported an extraordinary show to clinch the game with five balls to spare.

Amid this, former Pakistan speedster Shoaib Akhtar has questioned skipper Babar Azam of lacking decision-making skills as a skipper. England skipper Eoin Morgan played a significant knock of 66 along with Dawid Malan, who contributed precious 54 to push their side on the victory path.

Even when the Pakistan limited-overs skipper played an essential knock of 56 of 44, he came under strong criticism from Akhtar. The Rawalpindi Express, on his YouTube channel, stated that Azam lacks tactics on the field and is unable to make proper decisions in the required time.

“Babar Azam looks like a lost cow to me. He is out there, not knowing what to do. It is important to take decisions on his own so that it could help him become a better captain in the coming times. Babar will need to understand that the chances coming his way are not going to happen for the rest of his life so, he needs to make the most out of it.”

Pakistan team are playing in bio ‘Insecure’ bubble: Shoaib Akhtar

The former star pacer also slammed the insecure nature of the whole Pakistan team stating, that they are playing in a bio ‘insecure’ bubble. There is confusion lingering among all of them, right from selection to captaincy to management.

“Pakistan team are playing in a bio ‘insecure’ bubble, where each player is insecure. No one has an idea about whether they want to become a good captain or a good brand. Confused selection, confused management, confused captain, confused team, and confusion of everything. Teams are not made like this. So go with a set plan and go with one plan,” Akhtar concluded.

The third and final Test of the series is set to take place on the coming Tuesday, September 1 in Manchester itself.
