England is all set to face Pakistan men for a limited-overs series, commencing on July 8. After wrapping up their home series against Sri Lanka in a great manner recently, the Englishmen were expected to be in good confidence before they were dealt with a blow. In the latest turn of events, it was reported that three players and four support staff members of the England squad tested positive for COVID-19 on July 6.
However, as they were set to play their first ODI against men in green on July 8, it was reported that the series would go up as per schedule. However, when the revised team came on the table, the white-ball star of English setup, Alex Hales, again saw his name missing from the squad. As soon as the ECB announced the fresh squad, the likes of James Vince, Ben Duckett, and Dawid Malan, etc got the chance to mark a comeback.
However, Hales, who has last played ODI and T20I match for England in 2019 couldn’t bag the place in the fresh squad. It has to be noted that Hales has been shining too well in several T20 leagues and it was only a few days back that English skipper Eoin Morgan hinted of his comeback. However, ECB stands in all questions as Hales again missed out on the important series.
Twitter reacts to Alex Hales’ absence from the fresh squad
So No Alex Hales … that must be the end of his international career then … find it very sad that someone who made a huge mistake but was punished can’t be given another go … we all mistakes every week … !!! Those that say they don’t are lying … #OnOn

They Always love a Scapegoat. Kevin Pietersen, Alex Hales. Both arguably the best in their form of the game too.

Sorry but where’s the excitement in this team. Almost hoping that we don’t get our tickets for the game now. Alex Hales should be in

Alex Hales? 🤧

If I was Alex Hales. I would officially announce my retirement from international cricket. Play for Notts in the blast and spend the rest of the year making ££££ in franchise t20 cricket from around the world. He’s wasted on England x
