Here is how the WTC 2021-23 points table looks like after SAvIND first Test
With this dominating win against South Africa, the Indian side has moved to the 4th position in the WTC points table.
The Indian cricket team was outstanding with the red cherry in hand on Day 5 at Centurion, as they scalped 6 South African wickets inside 2 sessions to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match Test series. Dean Elgar and Temba Bavuma started the day well by putting on a 36-run stand, but Elgar was caught in front of the stumps by Jasprit Bumrah against the run of play.
After that, South Africa could not survive the Indian onslaught. Quinton De Kock looked aggressive in the middle but was dismissed for 21 by Mohammed Siraj. After De Kock’s departure, it was just a formality, and the South African tail refused to wag.
The Indian side polished off the South African tail with ease, the Proteas were bowled out for just 191 in their second innings, as India thrashed their opponents by a margin of 113 runs.
