Here's how Narendra Modi reacted to a guest's comment at Virushka reception

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma, who got married this December, had invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi at their reception in Delhi, which was the highlight of that day. When Mr Modi went up the stage, the crowd blew up in a loud cheer. While posing for pictures with the couple, one of the invitees from the crowd shouted, ‘Sir, we love you.’ The honourable Prime Minister recognised the complement of the guest and waved his hand. Anushka and Virat were also seen smiling after his remark.

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma had met Mr Modi before the reception and had invited him to the event in Delhi. Suresh Raina, Gautam Gambhir and Shikhar Dhawan were seen attending the program with their families as the other cricketers missed out as they were busy with the international schedule against Sri Lanka.

The couple got married on December 11th in Italy and the Delhi reception is the first one to be held. After the wedding, both Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma tweeted pictures of their marriage and acknowledged it in public.

Mumbai Reception

A second reception will be held in Mumbai for the Virat’s fellow teammates and Bollywood celebrities on 26th of December. Kohli has been on a leave since he played the Test series against Sri Lanka early December.

Rohit Sharma, who has been on a good patch in recent times and has been scoring a lot of runs, is leading the Indian side in Virat Kohli’s absence. They have clinched the ODI series 2-1 and have also taken a 2-0 lead in a three-match T20I series. Kohli will be back as the skipper when India takes on South Africa in January for three Tests, six ODIs and three T20Is.
