The Royal Challengers Bangalore will be facing Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai on April 24. They would be heading into this clash on the back of an impressive 18-run win over the Lucknow Super Giants with their batters and bowlers clicking at the right time.
Meanwhile, RCB’s director of cricket operations Mike Hesson is wary of the Kane Williamson-led SRH’s splendid form who have won their last four matches and at the same time, he has also heaped praise on the New Zealand skipper’s ‘methodical’ way of getting the job done from his team with a great amount of professionalism.
Kane’s pretty methodical: Mike Hesson
“Well, Kane’s pretty methodical in terms of how he prepares. He’s very professional. He’s obviously brought that team together after a tough start losing the first couple of games. There was talk about them being out of their depth, and they’re far from that. He’s got the best out of their seam bowling attack,” said Mike Hesson according to News18.
At the same time, the seasoned cricket coach also added that Bangalore is pushing hard for top-two spots and is looking to get better every game. “You want to push for one of those top-two spots, and that’s something we’re trying to do — getting better every game, and if we do that, we’re gonna give ourselves a chance,” he added.
RCB currently occupy the third spot in the IPL 2022 points table having registered five wins from seven matches including 10 points at a healthy net run rate of +0.251. A win against the Orange Army with a huge net run rate can certainly help them in reaching the top two spots or even the top spot for that matter.
The 2016 winners, on the other hand, have only grown from strength to strength after a heavy loss against the Rajasthan Royals by 61 runs in the season opener and a 12-run loss to the Lucknow Super Giants.
