3. Luke Ronchi – 170* v Sri Lanka:
During the 5th ODI of Sri Lanka’s tour to New Zealand in 2015, the home side was struggling at 93/5 when Luke Ronchi came in to bat. He absolutely bludgeoned the Lanka bowling after that. He put on an unbeaten 267 runs with Grant Elliot for the 6th wicket. Ronchi ended with an unbeaten 170 of 99 balls that was embellished with 14 fours and 9 sixes. New Zealand scored 360/5 in their innings, in reply to which, the Lankan team could manage only 252 losing all their wickets. This is the highest score by a number 7 batsman, bettering MS Dhoni’s 139.
