In the previous 17 seasons, cricket enthusiasts have witnessed some stunning partnerships. Incidentally, the top-two highest partnerships in the cash-rich league belong to legendary batters Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers. They formed a sensational 229-run partnership for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) against Gujarat Lions on May 14, 2016, at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. This staggering stand helped RCB post a massive total of 248/3 in their 20 overs. The hosts won the match by 144 runs.
They bettered their partnership of 215 not out in the previous season against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on April 19. The Royal Challengers won that encounter by 39 runs. Fans will be hoping to enjoy watching more such partnerships in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League.
