Zimbabwe collapsed for 104/7 when all-rounder Iain Butchart joined him for an almost match winning 8th wicket partnership. Their main heroes were Amjad Javed (56) and Nasir Aziz (60), both of them who added 107 runs for the 7th wicket to get UAE to 175 runs. But David Miller (138*) and JP Duminy (115*) added a record 256* runs for the 5th wicket. They took South Africa to 339 runs in 50 overs. Zimbabwe scored 277 runs with Hamilton Masakadza making 80 runs, but lost the match by 62 runs. 4. 4th wkt Michael Clarke & Brad Hodge – 204 Australia v Netherlands, Basseterre, 2007 Brad Hodge and Clarke added 204 runs. Australia batted first and made 358/5 in 50 overs with Michael Clarke making 93* and Brad Hodge making 123 in 89 balls. Both of them added 204 runs for the 4th wicket, a World Cup record. This is the highest runs for any partnership in ODI history breaking Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid’s rcord of 331* runs, made against New Zealand in 1999-2000. Dilshan made 144 and Tharanga made 133 runs. Zimbabwe could only make 188 runs with Brendan Taylor making 80 runs and Dilshan taking 4/4.
