The last pair played their part in delaying the inevitable. Harbhajan Singh took 4/12 that left the English batsmen clueless on a turning track. <p>Another 20-run partnership for the 10th wicket was shared between this West Indian pair against Australia. On 11th May 2010 in Saint Lucia, the home side batted first and was reduced to 85/9 before these two took the total past hundred. A target of 106 proved easy as the Aussies overhauled it in 16.2 overs. Miller made an unbeaten 10 off 13 while his partner was the last man out on 9 off 16.</p>

<p>The Afghanistan pair added 44 against England in Colombo on 21st September 2012. Batting first England hammered 196/5 and in reply, the Afghans could manage only 80 in 17.2 overs. It was Naib who made 44 off 32 while Zadran failed to open his account in the 3 balls he faces.</p>

<p>The unbeaten 8th wicket partnership between the Aussie pair took their team home in the semi-final of the 2010 edition played on 14th May in Saint Lucia. Batting first Pakistan put up a huge total- 191/6 and in reply Hussey played a stunning innings to take Australia through to the final. He finished the match on 60 off 24 while Johnson made 5 off 3.</p>

<p>Australia won the toss and decided to bat first on 5th May 2010 in Barbados against Bangladesh. From being in troubled waters on 65/6, the pair with their 7th wicket partnership took the Aussies to 141 which proved enough as the Asian side managed only 114 in 18.4 overs. <p>On 9th May 2010 in Barbados, the Aussies batted first and scored 168/5 against Sri Lanka. This was another rescue act involving Mr. Cricke Mike Hussey. From 67/5, the team made a strong recovery as White finished on an unbeaten 85 off 49 while Hussey’s 39 not out came from 26 balls. <p>On 18th September 2007 in Johannesburg at the Bullring, Australia batted first and made 164/7 against Pakistan. The total was never going to be enough on one of the most batting friendly surfaces in the world. Pakistan skipper Shoaib Malik made 52 off 38 and Misbah’s 66 came off 42 balls. Their unbeaten 5th wicket partnership took the team home in 19.1 overs.</p>

<p>The 4th wicket partnership between Hales and Morgan took England close to a win, but not over the line, against the eventual champions West Indies on 27th September 2012 in Pallekele. Batting first the Windies made 179/5 which proved enough. Hales made 68 off 51 while Morgan made an unbeaten 71 off 36 as England finished on 164/4 in their share of overs.</p>

<p>The partnership between Hales and Morgan took England to a remarkable win against eventual winners Sri Lanka on 27th March 2014 in Chittagong. Hales’ made an unbeaten 116 off 64 while Morgan’s 57 came off 38 in a run-chase of 190. England overhauled the target in 19.2 overs and kept itself alive in the marquee event. Sri Lankan though went on to lift the cup by defeating India in the final.</p>
