Australia can be termed one of those rare places outside the Indian sub-continent which has produced classy batsmen. The land where cricket pitches lay green lush grass on it, shaping up as a batsman is one of the toughest professions to choose. The conditions, climate and wickets all assist the bowlers and on those challenging conditions have produced some of the best batsmen to have ever played the game of cricket.

One man Ricky Ponting surely rules batting cards for his country topping it in tests ODI’s and by virtue of that also the overall runs. At his peak he had also given Sachin Tendulkar the Indian batting Legend and the highest run maker in cricket a run for his money.
The closest anybody came to Sachin’s most runs and centuries has to be Ricky, he is also among the top in world cricket.
It is David Warner who is the highest in T20’s with 1444 runs in 52 games. The pocket size dynamo has converted himself from a T20 specialist to an all format suited player now. And he is equally destructive in tests and ODI’s as much as the shortest format.
