The Big Bash League (BBL) 2019-20 has witnessed funny moments despite the serious cricket being played between the eight teams. There have been huge sixes, tremendously innovative shots and even the bowlers are sending down some nearly unplayable deliveries and then celebrating with some unique gestures. All this has been extremely entertaining for the fans.

Meanwhile, Perth Scorchers took on Melbourne Renegades at the Simonds Stadium, South Geelong, Victoria. Finch-led Renegades batted first after losing the toss and thanks to 73 from Sam Harper and 59* from Beau Webster, the defending champions managed 175/5 in their 20 overs.

Jhye Richardson picked 3/22 and Mitchell Marsh scalped 2/10. After playing his part in the chase, Liam Livingstone provided one of the funniest interviews ever to Erin Holland, which included some ‘crown jewels.’

Erin Holland’s hilarious question to Liam Livingstone

Liam Livingstone has been amazing as an opener for the Perth Scorchers, scoring 184 runs in seven games just behind skipper Marsh’s 214 run tally. He has also picked two wickets with his leg-spin. The right-handed opener’s highest score has been 69 and he has made his runs at the strike rate of 165.76 and has hit 14 fours and 13 sixes so far.

Along with partner Josh Inglis, Livingstone had added two-century partnerships in the ongoing BBL edition. He also scored 59 runs in 39 balls as the Scorchers chased down the 175-run target set by Renegades quite easily. He added 102 runs with Inglis, who made 51. Bancroft (24*) and Marsh (21) did enough damage and took the team past the finishing line and the defending champions Renegades were left winless.

Meanwhile, Livingstone had to face a rare misfortune, when the third ball of the fourth over bowled by Gleeson, cannoned into his unmentionables and Livingstone winced in pain, with the bowlers giving him a smile. Later when Livingstone was interviewed by Erin Holland on the sidelines, the interviewer asked, “How are the crown jewels feeling?” to this Livingstone could only reply, “They are alright now. I wouldn’t advise getting hit in the same place twice.”
