The 33-year-old who represented Indian cricket in 27 Tests, 53 ODIs and 10 T20Is has been going through a rough time after being discarded from the side. He was punished for the spot-fixing incident while playing for the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League and received a lifetime ban by BCCI’s disciplinary committee in the year 2013.
Although he was given clearance by a Delhi trial court due to lack of evidence under the MCOCA act but BCCI did not allow him to make a comeback. The bowler has been trying very heavily ever since to prove his innocence and return to cricket.
