'I am really comfortable' - Ben Dunk to take part in remainder of PSL 2020
Ben feels safe in Pakistan and wants to continue with the Lahore Qalandars as the PSL progresses.

The widely spreading, deadly Conoravirus has bought the whole world to a halt. The high concerns over the same have led to all sporting events to be either rescheduled or to be called-off. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has also seen the need to take quick action for the ongoing PSL. The playoffs have been replaced with both the semi-finals on March 17 and the final on March 18.
Countries have made some necessary and precautionary measures to isolate the country over rasing concerns of Corona. Over security and safety reasons, many foreign players as much as fourteen have already made it clear that they won’t be able to take part in PSL. However, the entire foreign regiment of Lahore Qalandars is still intact with the franchise.
However, Ben Dunk feels comfortable to take part in the remainder of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2020.
The 33-year-old Australian wicketkeeper-batsman has openly confessed that he is willingly staying in Pakistan to complete the tournament. While there have been several foreign players from the same league heading home in a hurry.
‘We have been really well updated by PSL’: Ben Dunk
Ben Dunk has a deep trust in the PSL management. He feels he is being regularly informed of the situation and is quite comfortable at the moment. The Australian cricketer is brave enough to make this decision. The officials of PSL have been working round the clock to keep the players informed.
“We have been really well updated by PSL. As an individual, it is my decision whether I want to go home or stay. At this stage, I am very comfortable with where things are at,” said Dunk. “We are getting daily updates. Things are playing out behind the scenes and if they stay at the current rate as they are, I am certainly comfortable to stay and play.”
Ben feels safe in Pakistan and wants to continue with the Lahore Qalandars as the PSL progresses. He in fact suggests that it is a personal choice to make.
“Obviously, depending on what happens at home with regards to borders, we will have to reassess but right now I am really comfortable,” he added.
There are several countries already imposing border restrictions to isolate the spread. Hence Ben might just stay a little bit longer until he absolutely has to go home.

Ben Dunk admits that Lahore Qalandars’ fans have shown some amazing support throughout the tournament. He also adds that they have stayed and supported the team through all the tough times. The wicket-keeper batsmen feels the need to repay his fans.
“I have had a really good time with this team and we have been looked after really well, so I would like to repay the faith and get some wins to get us through the finals,” he said. “The support that we have got at our home ground has been amazing. The people of Lahore have really shown patience with us. It has been nice to repay their faith and get some wins on the board, but we still have a big job to do, so I am really excited about the week to come.’’
