Kuldeep Yadav, the Indian chinaman bowler, reckons that MS Dhoni’s days for Team India aren’t over and he should be making a comeback to the national team. On quite a few instances, Kuldeep has received advises from Dhoni while bowling and they worked wonders for him. The 25-year-old said that the team is missing the 38-year-old and wants him to don the national colours again.
Dhoni last played for India almost a year ago in the 2019 World Cup. Martin Guptill ran him out and though he scored 50, he couldn’t take India over the line in the semi-final against New Zealand in Manchester. Kuldeep also said how Dhoni gives him suggestions as per the match situation.
“We all are missing Mahi bhai. I am a big fan of Mahi bhai. I really want him to come back into the team soon and play. Personally, I really feel he should play for India again,” Kuldeep told to The Times of India.
MS Dhoni is an instant advisor, says Kuldeep
“Whenever we stepped onto the field, Mahi bhai would come up with some instant advice. That advice helped me a lot in my career. He is a great instant advisor. He is someone who doesn’t believe giving advice ahead of and after the game. He will analyse things and come up with instant advice on the field. That’s what Virat (Kohli) bhai does as well,” he stated.
Kuldeep also talked about the differences between Dhoni and Virat Kohli, the current Indian captain. The tweaker didn’t forget to thank Rohit Sharma either. Rohit is the vice-captain of the Men in Blue and stands in only when Virat isn’t in the playing eleven.
“Mahi bhai is an instant advisor, Virat bhai is a great motivator. Apart from these two, Rohit bhai also guided me a lot on many occasions. I am really grateful that I am playing under seniors like Virat, Dhoni and Rohit,” Kuldeep added.
As far as Kuldeep is concerned, he has tasted quite a bit of success, having picked 143 wickets from 60 ODIs and 21 T20Is respectively. He is also the only Indian bowler to get two hat-tricks in the 50-overs format. Moreover, he has played six Tests, picking 24 wickets.
