India every year celebrates Air Force Day on 8th October and this year it became more memorable when Sachin Tendulkar reached Hindon Air Base in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad to attend the 87th-anniversary celebrations of the Indian Air Force.
Sachin Tendulkar, an individual who owns the iconic past of Indian cricket with his willow. He was one of the best iconic cricketers not only for India but in the World. In India, he has been claimed with the name ‘God of Cricket’ by the fans. There are very fewer records in batting in which his name will not be listed.
It’s been more than six years since his retirement but till now no one is closer to the benchmark set by the former Indian opener in this sport. Sachin still holds the record for most centuries in international cricket and is the only cricketer to the milestone of 18,000 runs in ODIs. He had served Indian cricket for 24 magnificent years and after his retirement, he has been handling the post of honorary group captain of Indian Air force.
Sachin shares his feelings after seeing Abhinandan Varthaman fly in MiG-21
On such auspicious occasion, Commander Abhinandan Varthaman on Tuesday led the formation of Indian Air Force’s MiG-21 Bison fighter jets and Sachin shared his feelings on social media platform about how he felt after he watched Abhinandan who led the parade for the day and wrote, “Wing Commander AbhinandanVarthaman leading the flying parade in the MiG-21 Bison at the 87th Anniversary of the @IAF_MCC! His spirit and courage is an inspiration to all of us. Had goosebumps seeing him lead the parade today,”

It is known that Abhinandan became the hero of the country after he shot down Pakistan’s F-16, but due to an emergency, he had to use the parachute which accidentally landed him across the Line of Control in Pakistan but with severe pressure from India, the government of green flag nation had to release the Indian commander after an investigation of 60 hours on 1st March 2019.
Sachin is the first sportsperson to be awarded the post of honorary Group Captain of the Indian Air Force. He reached the event along with his wife Anjali.
