'I hear you' - David Warner responds to Shikhar Dhawan's video of washing clothes at home
Shikhar Dhawan had posted a video of him washing clothes on Tuesday.
Due to the outbreak of Coronavirus, all cricket matches across the globe have been cancelled. Considering the outbreak which has caused havoc across the world, it seems that it will take some time to get all the cricketers back on the field. However, this has allowed the player to spend some valuable time at home. Many players have taken to to social media and posted videos on how they are spending their quarantine time.
Stylish Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan is not an exception either who is spending time at home during this global pandemic. Dhawan was part of the Indian team which was supposed to play the South Africa ODIs earlier this month. However, the series got cancelled amidst the spread of the virus. The left-hander was returning from an injury.
David Warner understands Dhawan’s situation
On Tuesday, Shikhar Dhawan uploaded a very funny video on Twitter. In the video, the southpaw could be seen washing clothes while his wife Ayesha Dhawan gives him instructions. An old Bollywood song was being played in the background. The song in Hindi talks about a person singing that he has got stuck after getting married. Dhawan captioned the video which read, “Life after one week at home. Reality hits hard #AeshaDhawan.”
Australian batsman David Warner, who is a very good friend of Shikhar, gave a hilarious response after seeing the video. Warner tweeted, “I hear you @SDhawan25″ signifying that he understands what Dhawan is going through. Warner, himself has been married for more than a few years now and spending time at home amidst the spread of coronavirus.
Dhawan and Warner have been close friends since the time they played for the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL. The two formed a formidable opening partnership and were key to the success of the franchise from 2015 till 2018. It was only ahead of the 2019 season when Dhawan decided to move to his home franchise, Delhi Capitals.
Warner has been handed over the captaincy of the Sunrisers for the 2020 season. There is no confirmation on the fact whether the tournament will be played or not this year.
